Camping

Our small campsite is located at the marvellous riverside of the danube. Almost every pitch offers you an scenic view to the water, to simple enjoy nature and relax while watching the ships go by.

Flexibility for our guests is important to us – You are welcome even without a reservation. You can arrive at any time and choose a free pitch. At our campsite the check-in is in the evening, therefore you can use the whole day of arrival for unwinding or activities.

For breakfast there’s the opportunity to order baked goods and to buy homemade jam. And if you’re thirsty or hungry, we do have a vending machine filled with different drinks and snacks. In proximity to the campsite there are some shops and a grocery store to head in, to restock your fridge and choose from a greater range of products. If you feel like eating out, treat yourself with lovely dishes in the restaurants and cafes of our village.

A Relaxing Stopover

Our small idyllic campsite lies on the Danube Cycling Path on the northside of the Danube – ideally suited for a relaxing stopover or a longer stay to explore the region.

The village Marbach is embedded in the river valley Nibelungengau, situated in between the citys Ybbs and Melk, which is the western gateway to the Wachau region.

The old city with its historic buildings is flanked by rocky outcrops and has a range of restaurants and cafes. Marbach also offers an open-air swimming pool, a tennis court, a bicycle workshop and lots of trails to choose from for your hiking trip.

A popular route is the walk to the beautiful pilgrimage church Maria Taferl, which towers high above Marbach. From this elevated position you can enjoy a spectacular view of the danube valley. On a clear day it is possible to see the north side of the Alps.
